South Road Garlic Farm is a farm located outside of Pueblo Colorado on the beautiful St. Charles Mesa.  The mesa has been fertile produce farmland since it was established in the late 1800's by mostly Italian and German immigrants. 

We are just east of the Rocky Mountains, which provide us the pure mountain water we use to water our crops.  The winters are cold, the summers are hot, and our soil is just perfect for garlic.  It doesn't get any better than that!

All of our seed stock was originally purchased as organic seed stock.  We use no  herbicides; all weeding is done by hand and no pesticides are used on our garlic.   Fertilization is done mainly before planting with our own compost and during the season with a foliar feeding of Compost Tea that we prepare.

We practice a 3 year crop rotation with alfalfa hay, which provides a great green fertilizer base, and prevents the ground from becoming susceptible to disease.
